Today, let's talk about how to continue your study of success.

Although this course has been brief, I hope it has given you a glimpse of what is possible for you.

If you followed the recommended instructions of doing one lesson a day for 10 days straight, then by the time you read this page, you may feel an urge to continue studying success.

Success, like History or Accounting, is a study.  It is not a formal study, but it is one that prepares you for how to live your best life.  It is not a formal study simply because it has not been structured the way other fields of knowledge have been.  You can't get credits for Success 101 or graduate from a University of Success, but what you learn from a success course may be of more immediate and practical value than many formal disciplines.

Success will come from applying success principles. These principles for the most part have been derived from a study of people who have succeeded. For example, Napoleon Hill discovered a success principle called "burning desire."  In his study of the richest and most successful Americans of his time, he found that they all had this quality called "burning desire." 

He called it your Definite Major Purpose.   If you don’t have a burning desire for your goals, you may want to rethink your goals because your goals do not rise to the level of a Definite Major Purpose.  Unless you feel passionate about your goals, the smallest obstacle will throw you off track.  You will quit at the slightest provocation.

If this course has incited in you a "burning desire" to be more, do more, and have more; if it has awoken in you a hunger for excellence and a will for personal power, then you may wonder about your next step.

It is quite simply to be a perpetual student.  You need to set yourself a course of education that involves both general and specialized information. 

The general information is a continued study of success principles.  It is "how-to" create what you desire.  It is a study of rules, procedures, strategies, tactics, and techniques used by other people who have enjoyed success.  This information covers broad principles and can be tailored to fit your particular ambition.

The specialized information is a study of what you want to be excellent in.  It is the "what-to-do" part of the equation.  If, for example, you desire to be a published writer, you have to study what to do to interest an audience with your ideas.  Once you get really good at something, then the means will show up.  You can't predict the opportunity, but you can be prepared for it when it does appear.

You can win in any of the games of life.  Just decide on it, and follow up with study and practice.

Assignment:  Decide on what you want to get really good at and create a plan to follow through on how to study and practice.
