When you do, you start to live with passion. You start to enjoy your life.
Deepak Chopra expanded on this idea even more. "Within every desire, "he said, "is the seed and mechanics for its fulfillment."
Do the right work, follow your purpose, and what you desire will come to fruition.
Here is what James Allen said about it: "As a being of power, intelligence, and love, you hold the key to every situation, and contain within yourself that transforming and regenerative agency by which you may make yourself what you will."
So how do you do it? How do you identify and follow your passion? How do you begin to live a life that you truly enjoy?
You begin this process by writing your ideal scene. When you begin with the end in mind and write out your perfect life, or, if this is too much, your perfect day, you begin the process of self-revelation. Without a clear idea of what you intend, you will drift. Unless there is a sense of purpose and direction, you can't even begin to make a plan.
The reason people are reluctant to write out their ideal scene is because they feel that they are setting themselves up for failure, defeat, and humiliation. Yet, bear in mind the words of James Allen: "The human will, that force unseen, the offspring of a deathless soul, can hew its way to any goal, though walls of granite intervene."
Once you have drawn up your ideal scene, see all the goals locked in it. Identify those goals, pull them out, and write them out on a different sheet of paper. Writing goals anchors them into your experience.
Now make those goals, these personal objectives, into affirmations. Read these affirmations daily. Ideally, read them first thing in the morning and the last thing at night."
The next thing, of course, is to draw up a simple plan. This plan will change over time, but it will give you a sense of direction, and change your dream into a project.
Ultimately, your purpose is to discover your own spiritual nature. This will infuse your mind, your emotions, and even your body with a sense of aliveness. There is no greater joy than discovering your own creative power and expressing it.
You will know when you have found your purpose because you will suddenly be filled with enthusiasm. Start today on this quest. Start now, if possible. |
