How To Set And Achieve Personal Goals

By Saleem Rana

Since success starts in your mind before it shows up in your experience, is there a way to influence your mind to guide you to success?

Of course!

Here is a strategic blueprint to create future goals.

The first step to create success, the first step in your spiritual journey to become the person you want to be--is to imagine your ideal scene: your future self five years from now enjoying everything that you desire.

Your ideal scene should include all the things that you would like to be doing, all the things that you would like to have, and, of course, the kind of person you want to be.

Next, write it out.  When you put it in writing, you move beyond a day-dream to the beginning of a plan.

When you look at your ideal scene, you will find that it is a composite picture of goals.  Since writing goals is so essential to your success, your next step, then, is to write out each of these goals on a separate sheet of paper.

Now turn each goal into an affirmation.  Anchor each affirmation into the present.

Put all of these sheets into a binder.  Gradually, add to this binder your experiences as you move toward your goals.

Read your list of affirmations daily.  Also add, "may this happen for the highest good of all."

As James Allen stated, "You will become as great as your dominant aspiration.  If you cherish a vision, a lofty ideal in your heart, you will realize it."

Clarity of vision is essential.  When your vision is clear, your mind will take it up and transform it into reality.  How it does this is astonishing.

James Allen illustrated the power of the mind when he said, "Mind is the master power that molds and makes, and we are mind, and evermore we take the tool of thought, and shaping what we will, bring forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills."

It is all about beginning with the end in mind.  Somehow your vision will expand to spy those breaks that you need to grasp to make the desired goal show up in your experience.

Success begins when you dream freely; it is about living your life in your own way, reaching the goals that you've set for yourself, and becoming the person that you really want to be.
